The front page looks different for some reason. Is it a new look or somthing messing up?

§eraph
same here i think it is a new look
cassarenas
Methinks Daba installed a new skin. Yet ,I'd love to see if I can return to the old one...
Aestivalis
It's an ok look. I prefer the old one though.
heath0087
Whoa, thought something was wrong with my eyes there for a second. This will take some getting used to, but it might be alright. I think it was the collapsible menu that really threw me.
Kurou Daijuuji
I like this.
Ovan
For the most part I like it. Especially the use of gradiants on everything. The only 2 things I miss are the seperation between our data and the posting area, and our HUD in the top right that told us if we had any new messages and such. =/

EDIT: Also the malfunctioning banner.
Kira
I like this
Axel Daemon
Yep I'm liking this as well. Good New Years gift Daba!
Phalanx
Indeed. What a great surprise to come to, in the new year.
tarbis
I like this :)
YuuDestiny
Woot. I got offline for a few hours and Tune the World happens. Major difference, reminds me of the intermission menu changes from older to newer SRWs, though I'm alright with it.
Lord_Shadow
Liking the new look! Thanks Daba! It'll take some getting used to but that's okay.
Collapsible menu is no doubt my favorite change in my 2 minutes of knowing the new look.
Fallen
Am I the only one with a non-functioning collapsible menu? bigharo-^_^;_ani.gif

The new layout is find s'long as all the minor-kinks get smoothed out, its the New Year afterall.
Lord_Shadow
Oh noes! Most likely this a problem on my end, but I'm wondering if anyone else has trouble with this thanks to the new look.

Whilst using Firefox, the forum pages don't show up anymore after certain actions (like posting, changing e-mail preferences, etc. ). Works fine after reloading the page, but I'm not sure why it doesn't show the page in the first place. Could just be my settings in Firefox, but I wanted to check and make sure no one else has this problem.

Still works fine on IE though, so it may just be my settings. (=C)K

Edit: The hell, double post!?
Ovan
Finally got used to it. And now I actually like the shrunken banner more than how it used to be XD
Fallen
After further investigation (basically just opening the site in IE), it seems the reason that my menu won't collapse properly is entirely a Firefox thing. So not only do I have to miss out on all the flashy colored fonts on the man page, I have to live with 1/6th of screen gone... sad.gif
llxwarbirdxll
It'll be a while before I get used to the whole widescreen thing, but I guess it can't be that bad.
Ovan
I have FF as well, and the menu is working fine with me. Sure most people here are FF users as well.
Khrysler Jerikho
I think Daba's tweaking things on the fly, so just continue posting those.... bugs.
Great Boota
The collapsible menu's not working right for me as well. I'm using Firefox 3.0.5
itachimaru
I like it
Lord_Shadow
For all FF users, check your options in the advanced tab. After unchecking "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page" everything worked just fine for me.
Great Boota
Doesn't work for me. That option was already unchecked to begin with.
Ovan
Maybe clearing your Cache.
Great Boota
Nope, didn't work either.
Ovan
=/

Just noticed the "Mark all messages as read" link is gone. As well as the stat links.
snesmaster40
There's no way of accessing the old skin anymore? I liked having yellow squares for new replies on a topic.
Ovan
Daba will probably come up with somthing soon.

XD, just noticed the missing stat links are all in the expanded menu now >.>
Final Fantasy Fanatic
I'm using FF 3.0.5 and everything is working fine (except maybe the collapsable menu), it was a bit of a shock to wake to the new look but I have a love/hate relationship with it. I like the gradients and colours but not the collapsible menu on the left (is it suppose to disappear when I click collapse because the bar remains but the text disappears).
Drout
hmm, this looks pretty nice, although im not use to see the collapse menu thing.

but the rest looks ok

No, that's the error some of us have been encountering. The entire left menu is supposed to disappear when you click on "Collapse Menu" (try it out using IE).

I find this new look very refreshing and cool. Best way to welcome the New Year bigharo-^_^.gif

Oh thanks, I see the problem, really the left hand menu is the only thing I don't like about this skin but at least this problem isn't a big hindrance to anyone while the kinks are being worked out.
Artemiy
At first I thought it's the standard design after the account gets validated, silly me.

Looks very nice, I like the smaller logo, the new menu and overall more, how could I put it, informative look, I guess. Thank you very much, I think the new layout's really better than the previous one.

In Opera, the "Collapse Menu" link also removes the text without actually removing the sidebar.
Daba Myroad
The collapse menu doesn't remove the sidebar. It leaves a margin. This will be our new skin and I'll be constantly adding stuff in the sidebar like SRWG shop links and other relevant bullshit. I'll be slowly removing some of the images and replacing them too.
REhorror
I'm fine with this.
MaskedRiderVB
I like it, and I presume it would look much better on a widescreen monitor.
Daba Myroad
The mecha-related tweaks will be implemented slowly.
Daitullan
I like the look, the thing that seriously bugs me is the missing chunk of forum content due to the menu, but I guess I'll get used to it eventually...
kamina Ayato
wooooooooooooooo!!!

I thought that . . . . either SRWG has an error or PC has an error..XD

but...I've catch this thread so . . . . .

SUGOI Desu ne!!! XDD

hmmmmmm...a New YEAR . . . . a newly look SRWG..XD

GREAT! and some of the icons have changed to more COOL-looking icons..XD

Keep it up Sir Daba! Ü

EDIT: WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! the P.I.N.K Haro icon in the Reduced pics were LOST...X3
Khrysler Jerikho
You guys meant this?
kamina Ayato
sorry for the double post

I'm using that ver. of Mozilla and . . . .

the Collapse Menu is . . .. working properly

...Maybe you should re-Installed the Mozilla again Great Boota...try to download it agin & re-install
Great Boota
You mean the entire left menu disappeared for you including the margin, kamina? Anyway, I just reinstalled my Firefox a few days ago, so that's not the problem. I kept my old profile, though, so it might be one of my add-ons or something similar.
kamina Ayato
Sumanai agian for the post..X3

no....in my PC . . . . I just have to click it..XD

If I clicked the Collapse Menu . . . . it became Expand and Vice Versa..XD

just try it again..XD
GaoGaiGar
I like it, but I have only two small requests... Couldn't we make the banner bigger, or at least central? Also, wouldn't it be wiser to make the new posts icon that are next to each subforum a little more colourful or easier to see? White on gray isn't much of a contrast.
tubigan
I Like the new look, it's easier for me to navigate.
raye_gincho
i think it look's good,i didn't expect to get used to it quite so fast.
but i did so there. =p.gif

...You've lost me, although I did click it again and I don't see any difference to how it was functioning when I first tried it.
Daba Myroad
The banner is temporary... I'm putting a transparent gif in that place
