Hello people of SRWG-W!

I first started playing SRW Alpha 3 (on Cobray's route) as a way to improve my Japanese ability, and damn did I struggle, spending 1-2 hours on the pre-mission and post-mission dialogue alone. Since then, I've finished OGs, OGG, Z and am currently playing through Touma's route and W, and luckily for me there's a marked improvement in my reading ability (although my writing and speaking still suck). I've edited some pages on the Akurasu wiki, clearing up information on secrets from Japanese SRW wikis, adding stage name translations and so on. I'm particularly interested in translating SRW W because of its stellar crossover interacting, but eh no hope with hacking the ROM since I only started learning the thing three days ago.

I love the Macross shows (SDF, 7 and F in particular) and wish that they appeared in more SRWs. Other mecha shows I particularly like are NGE, Gunbuster/Diebuster and their recent treasure, Gurren Lagann. The shows I like reflect why I chose to start with Alpha 3 =D.gif I also moderate the anime discussion forum on www.dota-allstars.com, but recent anime suck and I will not let my precious weekends be eaten up by time-wasting rubbish.

Mecha-wise, I like the fusion of bushido spirit and over-the-top coolness of Daizengar, Dann of Thursday and Masurao, the heroics and crazy sizes of Gunbuster, Diebuster and the various gattais in Gurren Lagann, as well as the general all-around awesomeness of beasts of destruction like the Dis Astranagant, GaoGaiGar, the various EVAs and Shin Getter Robo. Though, I wouldn't pass up on a chance to use Wing Gundam Zero, Gundam Deathscythe, the GX/DX, Turn A Gundam, God Gundam, the Nu/Hi-Nu Gundam, Sazabi/Nightingale, Dendrobium Orchis, Strike Freedom Gundam, Destiny Gundam, or in future, the Exia and 00-Raiser in an SRW, so I'm not all that biased towards super-like robots (it's not only because most are usually ridiculously strong dodgy robots in their appearances =p.gif)

I guess this is running too long for an introduction post, so I'll end it here. See ya'll around.

Yup, I'll be heading over to AFA. Can't wait for Fukuyama's performance, although the "unplugged" part leaves me slightly disappointed, since many of his songs can only be played on an electric. Acoustic Fire was a nice album, but an acoustic Holy Lonely Night or King Gainer Over! wouldn't have the same effect as the original. It's like taking Basara's electric guitar away and forcing him to perform with only an acoustic (which he does only for My Soul For You in the show, but Basara never performed that song in a concert anyway)!

Hi. You like over-the-top, heroic mech/pilots & machines of destruction too? That's something we have in common.

Awesome, must have some sort of meetup then during AFA then (looking for someone to tag along during the event, couple of my buddies couldn't make it due to other commitments). Also dodgethis and julius_firefocht are from Singapore too (they're bloggers whose blog are one of the media affiliates with the event promoting it and such, http://nk-ds.org/) Maybe some awesome rendezvous here?

And fellow Fukuyama fan, double awesome. He does have plenty of songs that he performs unplugged though, Angel Voice is a given, but yeah just slightly dissapointed that the rest of JAM didn't come over too.
