Super Robot Wars X - PS4/Vita, 3/29 - 4/26 in Asia, English
and Cham has now been fixed to Chum.

On stage 10 of my Amari playthrough. though I effed up and might have to go back to my final stage save of my first run. Basically, I forgot to purchase the 6th skill from the M customization. So now on my 2nd run where you keep yuor old cusomizations, I'm only able to purchase 6 still leaving me with only 11/12 skills I should have.

It's not a big problem, though depends on if it locks me out of a trophy or not.

Interesting they'd do the names differently and then patch it later, but I guess that happens.

Also, I continue to find the Japanese idea of "DLC has to give you some sort of advantage" a little annoying - since I don't really want to have a huge advantage I wouldn't have without pre-ordering or whatever. There's a bunch you simply don't have to redeem, but then there's bonus TacP and items that I just have to remember not to use...

Incidentally, what's the deal with Cybuster in this? I seem to remember reading you get him early for pre-ordering, or was that wrong? Since he's written in there quite normally and all, but I suppose it could just be different dialogue one way or the other.

Unlike Huckbein and Grungust from SRW V where they had their own backstory and original characters (to an extent), Cybuster in this game is the same old Masaki getting lost again, and has nothing to do with anything really, even the ones from V got a stage for their final attack, Cybuster was just, oh your mech can use its attack, that's it. So far, Cybuster seems to be pre-order only.

As for the DLC items, the game is kind of a joke as its very easy making those items even more redundant , more so than V which had some challenge from certain bosses.

Dialogue slighty changes if you have him early via DLC or not. Other wise you'll get him in the 40s or so via an unregistered stage, and get him then. Story wise he doesn't contribute anything that late in the game, and hardly say aything. But in his defense, neither does half the cast.

Even when you finally get the other protagonist you didnt choose to join you, they have very little to no real dialogue or scenes unless it's a major scene that involves Hoops talking to one of them or each other.

gameplay wise he's almost the best unit in the game bceause his MAP is beyond broken. One of the DLC quests his him having a rivalry with Heero because they're both MAP spamming, voiced by the same guy, and have rivals voiced by the same guy. In the end they call it off after Zechs' tell them to knock it the hell off, in which they then co-conspire to kill Takehito Koyasu because they're haters. But DLC story aside Masaki just puts Heero to shame. You can easily clear entire maps in the starting turn with Masaki alone.

Masaki comes in the 30s if you don’t get him by DLC, which is rather unfortunate, as much like in V he stops talking completely in intermissions after you get him naturally.

He’s also absurdly bullshit, yes, although if you’re not a giant pleb someone who abuses MAPs, he changes from “just solos everything in one turn like the old Z3 strats” to being an EN efficient S Sky murderbot that is very difficult to kill and very good at getting big damage numbers.
