Nlt to mention the last game was 80% reused assets including decade old audio files. Like Orochi pretty much everything now a days doesnt make anywbere near the profit they used to.

Even Gundam has been a flop. For several years now its largest source of income has been specifically from the arcade profits of Extreme Versus. The sales of BDs, gunpla, March etc have all been pretty low.

Well, I mean, c'mon, you know what I mean - it'd be one thing if it were making money simply because it's a superior product, but it's gross we're apparently stuck with this system where gacha gambling makes all the money exploiting some people and other people are told to go along with it because they get free stuff. The very fact that this model exists at all made a bad situation worse (Japanese devs having trouble transitioning to HD), so if anything it had a hand in why profits for everything else are lower now. And so it's a hard pill for me to swallow that we should be grateful to mobile.

You just described video game industry on general not just gacha games

now for example i'm trying to play Dragon Ball, the game has a lot of DLC characters if i want the roster to be full i won't be doing challenges to unlock them, i will be paying money to unlock them

As a fan of the Xenofranchise I normally would agree. But in the defense of Xenoverse 2, excluding the movie based DLC all the rest of its DLC was based on new content from DB Super that never existed back when the game was made. I laughed when one of tje free updates was literally to make fun of Gacha games.

On the Star Wars issue that was Primarily EA who for years has by far been the worst of the worst. Similar to what Sony of now American is becoming they think they could screw players and tell them theyre doing it for their better sakes.

Though EA eventually was forced to fix Battle Front 2. Not because of fan backlash but because Disney who now owned star wars was pissed that EA made a massive negative scene out of one of its key franchises.

And lol, Didnt realize Mai postes her PSN. (still out of the country for 1 more week)

Mobile games rely a lot on the gambling method of gacha, because you do not know what you are going to get when you by the currency for their product, the big difference to DLC especially Dragon Ball FighterZ is that they announce the DLC and you know what you are getting, YOU have control to choose whenever you wish to spend your money on a character or not. While gacha its all chance, the same goes for loot boxes. This is why Gacha games are getting literally banned in Belgium after they passed the law due to those type of games, specially CrossOmega being literally gambling. You're paying for a chance to get a card/unit whatever that you may not even get.  While true big triple-A titles are using loot boxes and other more disgusting marketing to sucker users into purchasing mobile style currency, when it comes to DLC is not the same.

I know of people who spent 300 or more dollars in gacha games, like FEH, Fate/DBZDokkan they admit they are addicted, guess what, that's gambling.

True for a lot of gacha games ,however this is not how SRW Cross Omega works all the gachas on SRWXOMG are guaranteed SSR, people spend money to max units faster or if they're aiming at a specific unit or multiple copies of it

i literally got all the anniversary units with free currency

all the banners are guaranteed to get you one of the new units, they're all guaranteed featured SSR basically

its been like that for quite a while and i sincerely don't know how TErada and OOchi make money with that game lol
Its never too late to start loving again
