How Asia saved the series
(12-04-2018, 09:38 AM)Andy Chan Wrote: I believe the Asian region sales were not only Asian people. Remember, Asian got English version, so there are chunks of importers from all over the world wanting to see the first mainline English SRW.

If import sales from the SEA region accounted for more than 3% or so of the sales I would be fucking shocked.

Honestly, they are more fun than many other console games

Pretty much. The times have changed. While there are still many mobages that are utter trash, there are now more and more that are are better and have more work put into them then the average console game now a days. And most importantly, mobages are accessible to pretty much the entire world, far more then any console or handheld ever could and generate far more amounts of money then other gaming format available. It's the reason why they had to make the Switch Portable and a Console at the same time, because at this point, smart phones have pretty much killed any future for hand held gaming systems.

Exactly. Not to say that SRT in its basic elements is a pretty simple game, it would be perfectly made on a mobile devices. The modern mobile devices could easily manage the most advanced og games
So,it is really not a problem of the device, but how much they want to work on the games.
To tell the truth, SRT DD seems a game they put some cure into. It is even the first game with 4 originals since alpha3

500,000+ copies, and one of them is sitting on my shelf. I did my part. And, so long as I live, I always will.
